Our older pupils have been chomping at the bit to get their first matches of the season underway and the fantastic results this week are testimony to this. I noted parents and pupils had even bigger smiles on their faces post-matches are they enjoyed our new match teas; a huge improvement appreciated by all. It has been such a pleasure to feed back so positively to our catering partners who have been working so hard behind the scenes for which I am very grateful indeed.
Following a visit by Tatler towards the end of the last academic year, it was a real privilege to be invited up to London earlier this week to be hosted by their schools editorial team at the launch of their 2020 Schools Guide. This is the first time Prince’s Mead has been recognised in this review and I was delighted that they have recognised the enormous strengths across the school. The editorial team praised in particular our Pre-Prep Department that goes from strength to strength.
I appreciate that the start of the school year can be overwhelming at times, even for those who have been with us for some time. As your children move through the school, their timetable, kit, uniform and equipment all seems to change and it can take a little time to adjust and get into the new rhythm. You have wonderful staff who will help you with that transition, and a very supportive parent community too. To help you along the way, please do make use of our forthcoming information evenings wherever you can where we extend a warm invitation to explore our new building. I am sure you will have an encyclopedic knowledge of Prince’s Mead life before you know it!
