Harvest Festival & Winchester Basics Bank Support Fund

This year our Harvest collection will be for the Winchester Basics Bank. They provide emergency food and clothes to individuals and families in need and aims to make appropriate resources available to the maximum number of people at their point of greatest need.

We are asking all parents to bring along a contribution to our harvest table in reception so we can deliver to the Winchester Basics Bank on Friday. See below for the items they are in most need of.

They are currently (September 2019) in need of:

Food

• Tinned veg (especially carrots, mixed veg)
• Tinned fruit (no grapefruit or prunes)
• Rice pudding
• Dried rice (1kg bag)
• Tinned meat (e.g. stewing steak, minced beef & onions, chicken in mushroom sauce)
• Rice pudding
• Custard (tinned or cartons)
• Fruit juice & squash

Hygiene products

• Nappies (all sizes)
• Non-bio washing tablets
• Cleaning products (e.g. washing-up liquid, surface cleaner)
• Shampoo
• Shaving gel
• Deodorant (male & female)
